Milwaukee WordPress Developers Meetup

Many Milwaukee WordPress developers and those new to the world of designing for WordPress attended last night’s Milwaukee WordPress Meetup at the MATC downtown.

Here’s what some of the attendees said when RSVPing to the WordPress event (some were able to attend, others did not, but by reading below, you’ll get the idea of the interest around the Milwaukee area that these people have for WordPress).

They answer the question: “Do you have a question or have a topic to share? What would you like to discuss at this WordPress meetup?”

	“Building WordPress templates”
	“I would like to learn how to set up recurring payment membership sites with WordPress.”
	“The next thing on my list is figuring out how to connect WordPress and Aweber. It should be pretty straight forward, but I haven’t done it yet.”
	“Would like to know more about using WordPress as an eCommerce platform”
	“Is this going to be more about WP.com or WP.org? Interested in learning more about WP.org and building my own site. Also, has anyone worked with CATALYST theme?”
	“How to best link with Facebook and Twitter.”
	“I mainly would like to learn about best practices for Word Press.”
	“I am interested to learn more about how to embed videos and custom headers”
	“I’d be interested in hearing about the best way to replicate an existing WP install, theme & all.”
	“Would love to hear from WP users to get some fresh perspectives. Also interested in building plugins, particularly how plugins interact with the WP database (create a table, add records, update them, etc).”
	“possibly looking for a WordPress custom template creator that will develop from my designs; utilization/examples of commonly used plugins”
