The Orion Group has been serving all areas of business including a specialty in the home remodeling industry since 1996. Our firm has created over 30 Web Design Award-winning websites for numerous clients throughout the years. Our office is located in Sussex, Wisconsin.
Orion Group now serves over 300 clients that cover a broad spectrum of industries, including contractors, manufacturers, and many other types of small businesses. Bill Knoernschild – Owner / Website Sales & Project Management
Bill is a founding partner of the Orion Group. He is most passionate when discussing web technologies and what a good web site can do for your business. His primary accomplishment has been building up a base of over 350 clients during that last 18 years. Bill’s knowledge of the web design industry has evolved through the years since the beginning ~ when ‘Al Gore invented the Internet’. He enjoys working with his team and encourages best practices and high standards for the Orion Group.
Scott Offord – Owner / Director of Internet Marketing
Scott is a managing partner of Orion Group. He creates and manages search engine optimization and pay per click campaigns for our clients. He is certified in Google Analytics and in Google Adwords. Scott focuses on improving the visibility of websites in the search engines. Scott has a background in designing and developing websites using various content management systems. When he’s not optimizing websites, Scott enjoys walking his Great Dane, Squiggles.
Dustin Filippini – Web Developer / Project Manager
Dustin manages new website projects for the Orion Group. He works mostly with HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, and MySQL. Dustin enjoys keeping up-to-date with the latest web trends and standards and is heavily involved in the local developer community. He has a bachelors degree in Business from Northern Michigan University. Dustin loves being involved in the local Milwaukee developer community. He helps organize the Web414 Meetup & the Milwaukee WordPress Meetup while routinely speaking at these events as well. Dustin also enjoys watching the Packers and Brewers and spending time with his wife, daughter and two dogs, Riley and Hugo.
Faison Zutavern – Web Developer / Project Manager
Faison is a determined developer with a passion for programming and Web standards. He had accumulated years of amateur programming and database experience before acquiring his associate degree in Web and Software development from WCTC. At Orion, Faison focuses mostly on PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL, while maintaining his skills in Java and learning new technologies. The experiences he’s gained through examining other people’s code, tutoring peers and through writing tutorials and online guides brings great value to Orion Group. When he isn’t keeping up-to-date with tech guides and articles, Faison enjoys gaming and listening to an atypical collection of music.
Emma Edgar – Web Developer / Project Manager
Emma is one of our newest members to the Orion Group family. She is a motivated, energetic, and articulate person who works hard, excels in leading projects and enjoys solving problems. She is proficient in researching information while being productive in both team-based and self-managed projects. Emma is eager to learn about new technologies and enjoys learning new programming languages and environments. She is currently enrolled in the Web and Software Developer program at Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC). At WCTC she is active in the school’s IT club: BIT Connections, where she served as President for the summer and fall semesters in 2012. Emma is excited to start her career as a developer at Orion Group.
Deepak Mahendru – Web Designer
Deepak is a full time contractor with the Orion Group. He has a Masters in Computer Applications from Punjab University in India. Deepak is active in most of Orion’s day-to-day website development projects. He is confident, hard-working and a devoted team player. He has the motivation to take initiative on tasks and to see them through to completion. He successfully leads team projects and ensured important deadlines are met. His excellent communication skills, natural leadership qualities and his deep knowledge in the principles of programming are his most valuable assets.
Russ Offord – Internet Marketing Account Manager
Russ works with Orion Group in managing key processes that advance client SEO strategies including: determining keyword optimization priorities, content acquisition and distribution for link-building, and client website analysis to enhance search engine performance. He enjoys diving deep into a website’s Google Analytics data to discover actionable information that can positively affect business decisions. Armed with a good working knowledge of a broad variety of webmaster skills and a history of hand-coding HTML websites, Russ has a good mix of skills that work together to assist the Orion Group team in helping their clients to succeed online.
Kristine Ponzi – Internet Marketing Communications Specialist
Kristine is an energetic marketing professional who loves all things media. Experienced in both traditional and digital media channels, she enjoys working one-on-one with clients to zero-in on their interactive marketing needs and make smart marketing decisions. At Orion, she works closely with business owners and marketing managers to put relevant, amazing content on their sites and step-up their search results. She also helps businesses display content in front of more people with interesting, quality blogs and social sharing on sites like LinkedIn and Facebook. And, using her marketing CSI and data skills, she does her best to keep clients on top of the ever-changing world of digital marketing!
Jim Moroney – Internet Marketing Analyst
Jim is enthusiastic about SEO marketing. He’s a left-brain, right-brain kind of guy, having background in both marketing and technical communications. Not surprisingly, Jim is very analytical and detailed oriented. Being very inquisitive, he loves to ask questions. Knowing the right questions to ask, Jim has produced sell sheets, applications success stories, product brochures, marketing videos and online content featuring informative and persuasive copy that resonates with sales prospects. Leveraging this background, Jim’s ready to provide Orion clients with relevant, and keyword rich blogging content driving higher SEO ranking. Outside of Orion, Jim further enjoys festivals, photography, reading, and riding his Trek bike along the back roads of Wisconsin.
Rose Nchang – Office Bookkeeper
Rosaline (Rose) Nchang was born in the city of Santa, in the Northwest region of Cameroon, in West Africa. In March 2010, Rose immigrated to the United States of America when she won the Diversity-Visa lottery. After spending her first few months in Detroit, Michigan she moved to Waukesha, Wisconsin and enrolled at WCTC where she obtained her Associates of science in Accounting. Upon arriving in Waukesha, Rose began learning how to be an American, including having her first piece of pizza, seeing snow for the first time, and learning how to drive. Rose speaks multiple languages, including English, French and several Cameroon dialects. In January 2011, Rose got her first job working at CarMax as a Business Office Associate, and joined the Orion Group in August of 2012 as a Bookkeeper.
Chris Aykroid – Graphic Designer
Chris is an accomplished graphic designer. His specialties include creating logos, designing Web sites and print material, as well as creating custom animations for the web. Chris loves learning about how the world works and he shines when given the opportunity to work with clients in bringing clarity and creativity to their marketing message.
Jon Valcq – Web Hosting Server Admin / Tech Support
Jon was hired for a project that involves moving approximately 500 websites over to newer servers. He looks after website hosting, email, and technical support. Most of his work is behind the scenes. Chances are, if you haven’t heard from Jon already, you will in the near future. He graduated from Waukesha County Technical College in December 2012 with an Associates Degree as a Computer Support Specialist with a focus on Networking and Linux Systems. Jon is planning on returning to school in the fall to complete a degree in Network Systems Administration. When he isn’t at work, Jon likes studying computer systems and learning website development. He enjoys outdoor activities including jeeping, trail-riding/hiking, camping, nature-photography, geocaching, and hunting.
