WordCampLogoWordPress enthusiasts from far and near will be converging upon WordCamp Milwaukee 2014, occurring July 25-27th at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee School of Continuing Education Center located in the Grand Avenue Mall in downtown Milwaukee. It’s a weekend of all things WordPress and more.

A great line-up of workshops, presentations, one-on-one consultations, and Saturday night after-party will provide participants with opportunities to learn, share and network with others in attendance.

Recognized WordPress authorities and other seasoned practitioners will present useful and actionable insights that will enlighten attendees with a-hah moments of clarity and understanding.

Newcomers and others seeking to brush-up on their WordPress knowledge may want to attend the Foundation Friday Workshop. Three tracks are offered:

  • Theme Design/Development
  • Plug-in Development
  • Business Blogging and Site Management Basics

A number of related topics will be presented in sequential order on Friday for each of these programming tracks. Participation in these workshops will provide you with a good foundation of understanding for other presentations offered later in the weekend.

Presentations scheduled for Saturday and Sunday span five areas of general concentration:

  • Design
  • Development
  • Marketing
  • Content Development/Blogging
  • User administration.

There’s more than just presentations and workshops at WordCamp. Throughout the weekend the WordPress Happiness Bar will be staffed by experts ready to answer your questions about WordPress and related topics. Share your daunting challenges or consider volunteering a few hours of your expertise.

A WordCamp Charity Hackathon will allow attendees to offer respective expertise during this hacking session or simply observe the collective energy and collaboration of this event.
